The pictures don't do it justice but will give an idea of what it looks like. The process of making this starts with pure cotton linter fiber blended with water, then casting the mixture on hand made forms.  After drying, the cast paper plate is hand painted with various types of water based paints. Gold, copper and silver leaf is applied. Even though these are paper artifacts, they are durable.  Proper care only involves regular dusting with a soft cloth or feather duster. This is an item to be enjoyed for many years to come or will make a wonderful gift.   Place a Bid!
