There are great line drawings in the instruction section that explain not only HOW to arrange the flower, but also the concept and traditions that create the foundation of the art. These show how to select, prune, trim, bend and otherwise prepare the items. Other drawings show how to arrange.There are many color photographs that show assorted arrangements with a wide array of flowers. These also have drawings that demonstrate the arrangement. Superb!
