We believe these handmade ornaments came from New Orleans because the original box they were in still had the return shipping label addressed from 711 Congress Street, N.O., L.A.  These ornaments appear to be made during the late 1960s to 1970s era due to the emblems that adorn some of the clothing (i.e., Izod, Schlitz, etc.).  These ornaments are mostly MICE but there are two that are PIGS and look like Miss Piggy.  These very unique ornaments each have their own personality.  Some of the ornaments have original advertisements on them such as:  - one of the mice is holding a Neiman Marcus shopping bag; - another one has kittens in a basket carrying a bag of Nine Lives Cat Food; - another mouse is carrying an Izod shopping bag while she appears to be dressed in Izod clothing. We beleave these are one of a kind item , If anybody can tell me anything else about these items I would be more than happy to get this info .This lot also includes a nun mouse holding a bottle of Blue Nun Wine, a bridal pig holding a bottle of Beaulieu Vineyard Champagne, a white mouse in her wedding gown holding her bridal bouquet, a golfer with a golf club in one hand and a can of Schlitz Beer in the other, a tennis player holding racket and a bottle of Coke-a-Cola, a painter, a cleaning mouse, a teacher holding an apple and a chalkboard, and more.
