Thereis a lot of detail to it and therefore it is not recommended for small children. The blade raises and lowers and raises up and down. The tracks move and there is a ripper on the back that raises and lowers also.There is over 250 pcs to the tracks.Assembly is required for the blade and the ripper  due to shipping. It is made of pine,oak and cedar. The deminsions are:18 1/2'' L. X  11''W. X 9''H.
